Lillian Freeman - Director
Lillian is the owner of Allegro Dance Studios in Emmaus, PA. She grew up in central New Jersey and has been studying dance since the age of eight. She attended the Serova Dance School and the New Jersey School of Ballet. A dance major, with concentrations in music and theater, she earned a BFA from Kutztown University.
Lillian held a position as interim professor at Kutztown University and instructed in private studios for more than 15 years. Her choreography has been performed at Magic Kingdom, MUSIKFEST, for National Tap Dance Day, for Disney's Cinderella KIDS, High School Musical at Brandywine Heights Middle School, and for various events in the Lehigh Valley.
Her students perform for the Emmaus community at the Farewell to Summer event, Halloween Parade, Christmas Tree Lighting, and an annual visit to seniors at Devon House Assisted Living.
Miss Lilly, as she is known to her students, opened Allegro Dance in 2008. She continues to improve her skills and takes a weekly tap class at Moravian College, taught by Rochelle Hanes.
This will be Jenna’s second year teaching at Allegro. She has been dancing for over 16 years. Jenna is currently pursuing a career in the entertainment industry at DeSales University, which includes film and dance. She is former president of In the Mix Dance Company, in which she travelled and was mentored by professional dancers, including choreographers from So You think You Can Dance. In 2007 and 2008, Jenna acted as a Junior Outlaw Dancer. She also took many classes in NYC at Broadway Dance Center. She attended the VMA’s in 2009, the Sex and the City 2 premiere, and was taught by the Radio City Rockettes. Her recent auditions include Glee and Disney. Jenna has been teaching dance for five years and recently started helping kids audition for Lehigh Valley Charter School of the Arts. Her dance training includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Gymnastics.
Kimberly Patterson is a graduate of DeSales University and holds a bachelor's degree in dance. Kimberly during her career has taught both adults and children in many styles of dance. She has taught in NY, NJ, Australia (where she lived abroad for four years) and now Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching at Allegro, Kimberly also teaches a Toddlers and Tutu’s ballet class at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Kimberly’s career highlights include performing at the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. She also choreographed and performed a modern piece for a 60x60 project at the Meadowlands Winter Theatre in New York, NY. She attended the Dance Teacher Summit in NYC this past summer and attends classes at Koresh Dance in Philadelphia in her spare time. Kimberly’s passion for dance also extends to her three little girls who love to dance around the house!
